Welcome to the District of Thunder Bay Child Care Registry

Emergency Child Care

The safest place for children right now is home. However, full-time emergency child care services are being offered exclusively for school-aged children of essential service workers who have no other child care alternatives.

For a list of government identified essential workers eligible for emergency child care, please click here: https://www.ontario.ca/laws/regulation/200263#BK8

Locations will be determined based on approval by the Ministry of Education. Child care hours and service options will vary by centre.

To apply, log into your account (if you are an existing user) or create an account (if you are a new user) and follow the Emergency Child Care prompts through the system.

This is a central application and registry for all families seeking licensed child care spaces in the District of Thunder Bay.
